An American Kennel Club Licensed Member Club whose purpose is to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs and to protect and advance the interests of purebred dogs through the encouragement of training, fostering of shows, exhibits and matches, dissemination of knowledge, and information to the general public.
WKC currently has 77 members, many of whom breed pure bred dogs and show them in breed conformation, obedience, agility, and field competition. You can see some of our club members in action participating in all facets of our sport by clicking on "Members In Action" in the left column.
We have four general club meetings per year (March, June, October, December), usually at an area restaurant, most include an educational program.
The major events the club holds each year are our back-to-back All-Breed Shows, Obedience and Rally Trials in August, indoors, at the Central MassTrade Center at Courtyard by Marriott Fitchburg and our back-to-back Agility Trials in September, outdoors, at the Lancaster Fairgrounds..
