Fran & Dilly earn MACH on December 5, 2009!


Fran Boyle's Keeshond, MACH Geluk Miss Daffodil Hillside CDX, "Dilly" earned her 20th Double Q and MACH title on 12/5/09 at the Yankee Golden Retriever AKC Agility trial under judges Ms. Franna Pitts and David Lawniczak. "Dilly" is trained and handled in agility by Sharon Pica.


Christie & Pi earn MACH2 on November 20, 2009!


Christie-Lee McNamara's Miniature Poodle, Ch. MACH2 Rembrandt Daydreamer CD, RE, XF, "Pi" captured his 20th Double Q earning his Master Agility Championship 2 title 11/20/09 under judges Ms. Carla Boudrot and Ms. Jackie O'Neil at the LEAP Agility Club AKC trial.

WKC Presents AKC Outstanding Sportsmanship Award


Our club presented its first AKC Outstanding Sportsmanship Award to Wachusett Kennel Club member Ms. Julie Rembrandt Seeley at our club meeting December 12, 2007.

This award was developed for AKC Member clubs to honor deserving club members who have made a difference in the world of purebred dogs.

Julie has worked tirelessly to secure good dog legislation through her position as Corresponding Secretary and Lobby Day Coordinator of the Massachusetts Federation of Dog Clubs and Responsible Dog Owners.  She has bred and shown her own dogs for 25 years, producing over 40 breed Champions including multiple Specialty and Best in Show winners, plus dozens with obedience, agility, rally, and therapy dog certifications.  She is a co-owner and trainer at Four Paws Academy, likely saving dozens of dogs from going into shelters by providing basic obedience and social skills to the dogs and their owners.  Julie is also an AKC Rally judge.

Our club thanks Julie for all she does to promote the sport of purebred dogs, and dog ownership in general.
